CYMS Spring Track: We had a great turn out for the first week of track practices. This season promises to be a good one with the goal of reclaiming the district title! Track gear is available for order now on online or by order form. Final order deadline is March 21st.
Registration is still open, so it is not too late to register! Come be a part of our amazing team.

8th Grade Fundraisers: Thank you to everyone who came out to the last 8th grade fundraiser at Papa’s pizza. With your help we earned over $750 for our 8th grade celebrations. Help us reach our goal of providing all celebrations free to all 8th grade students by joining us on Wednesday at MOD Pizza for our next fundraiser! Bring in the flier to have your purchase help us support our CY 8th grade class.
8th grade Pictures: 8th grade spring portraits are coming up on April 3rd! These spring photos will be used for the yearbook and are a great way to see the changes and maturity in your student over the year. Additionally, our 8th graders will sit for a whole class panoramic photo. Please note that individual and group photo orders must be placed separately.

Ophelia’s Place Regional Parent Night: All Cal Young and Monroe parents are invited to join us for a Regional Parent Night by Ophelia’s Place on Thursday, March 21st, at 6:30 pm. This will take the place of our usual PTO meeting. Join us as we explore valuable insights into navigating the digital world and social media with your children.
Band Concert: Come for a night of entertainment at our spring band concert, Wednesday, March 20th. Our CYMS band students have been working hard to prepare for their upcoming festivals. Join us as they showcase the numbers they will perform at the Emerald Band Festival and Shasta Band Invitational. Concert starts at 7:00 pm.
Movie Night: Mark your calendar for Friday April 5th, Cal Young movie night is back! Students are invited to join us for a picnic style movie night. Students will vote on the movie this week.
Entry is $5. Prepaid tickets include a beverage and a popcorn! Tickets can be pre-purchased online at https://www.schoolpay.com/pay/for/CYMS-Movie-Night-Tickets/ScH0CQB for card transactions. Students will have an opportunity to pre-purchase tickets with cash during their lunch period on April 4th & 5th. Scholarships are available. L.E.A.D: Learn Engage Apply and Discover
There’s no time like Spring Break to LEAD: Learn Engage Apply and Discover! Youth, ages 5-14 years old, can register for Lane County Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Spring Break Camp. Join us for 4 days of fun filled STEM activities that are intellectually stimulating, encourage exploration and teambuilding, and provide hands-on experiential learning opportunities.
The daily activities include 3 separate 1.5 hr activities, lunch, snack, and mental awareness activities too. Come join the FUN in a safe environment where learning is encouraged and where youth THRIVE! You can find their SPARKS! Activities include hands-on projects to reinforce learning while youth gain knowledge and confidence. This is a great opportunity to experience 4-H programming and socialize with other youth in Lane County. What are you waiting for? There are 15 slots available. Registration closes March 15th.
