The Lost and Found looks less like a closet and more like a mountain. We currently have enough jackets, water bottles, and lunchboxes to open our own department store. The Clock is Ticking. We are officially 10 days away from the final deadline.
If it’s still here in two weeks, it is going to charity! Don't let your favorite sweatshirt become someone else's donation. Do yourself (and your parents/guardians) a favor, walk by the Lost and Found today during lunch and rescue your stuff!

Our diligent coordinators and management team are working hard to compile the menus for the 2026/2027 school year. We have met with more vendors to find more breakfast options for our students. Our coordinators are helping management come up with recipes for meals.

Rice is the most widely eaten food in the world. Rice is a tiny edible seed and a cereal grain. There are over 40,000 different types of rice. Black rice is sometimes called "forbidden rice" because long ago, it was so rare and special that only royalty in ancient China were allowed to eat it. Wild rice isn't actually rice at all - it's a seed from a completely different aquatic grass plant!

Question: How many different shapes of pasta exist in the world today?
Answer: Over 600!

Lemons float, but limes sink. Limes are denser than water, while lemons have air pockets that keep them buoyant.

A big THANK YOU to everyone that attended our first annual Family Fun Night! We had over 200 people come through the door meaning we earned both incentives! We had 3 food trucks, challenge games, face painting, and $1,500 worth of awesome raffle prizes (15 in total) including gift cards, snacks, spa items, pokeman cards, a leather purse, and a golf package. Winners of the raffle prizes and students drawn for the "do something to a teacher" raffle will be announced during advisory. Thank you to student leadership and all the volunteers that made this possible. We can't wait to do it again next year!

Our last meeting is Wednesday, June 3rd at 6pm in the library. Come see what we have been up to this year and help us create a calendar of events for next year.

* syrup (6)

All students in 4J schools can get a student pass to ride Lane Transit District (LTD) buses for free. Student transit passes can be used to travel anywhere within the LTD service area. Student passes can be used at any time—after school, on weekends and during school breaks, as well as to get to and from school each day. And LTD passes will be $1 per trip in July and August, so anyone in the family can ride with them for a very low cost.
To get a free LTD student transit pass, available as a tap card or Umo smartphone app, middle and high school students can request their own passes from the front office. Passes are valid as long as your student is at 4J!
