All 4J high schools are excited to welcome incoming 9th graders and their families to their Parent Nights! These events are a wonderful opportunity to:
- Learn about your high school – get an overview of what to expect and how to navigate the transition from middle school.
- Explore courses and electives – discover the range of academic and extracurricular options available.
- Meet staff and tour the campus – connect with teachers, counselors, and administrators, and see the school firsthand.
Attending a parent night is a great way to feel confident and prepared as your student steps into high school. We encourage all families to join and take advantage of this opportunity to get to know the school community.

Every spring, 4J Facilities Management uses pheromone traps to capture as many emerging yellow jacket queens as possible, before they can establish colonies that later become dangerous nests. While this can't prevent all yellow jacket nests on school properties, it does seem to reduce the number of nests that require intervention annually.
Yellow jacket traps do not contain pesticides, but they are identified as a pesticide by the Oregon Department of Agriculture, so 4J is required to provide the same notification as for other pesticide applications.
Please click the link in yellow below to view the Pesticide Notification, which includes detailed information about this application.
These traps do contain a food-grade aromatic attractant, but pose no hazard to people, pets or wildlife when installed and used properly. Traps will remain installed year round, but the attractant added each spring will evaporate within approximately 2 months.
These traps do not significantly impact insect species other than yellow jackets.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding this program, and thank you for your continued support.

Campers will be selected in accordance with the priority policy approved by the Indian Parent Committee. Prioritization will be given to Program participants.
How Do I Get There?
