The Cal Young Cougar Holiday Cheer Drive is officially underway! Families are invited to participate in this annual event where Cougar families help Cougar families in need. Need in our community is growing and we need your help. We are still in need of more donations, please consider donating today!

Cal Young is collecting donations of gift cards to provide the CYMS families who need a little help this season. We welcome any and all gift cards that could brighten the holidays for our students, giving their family the support to purchase either food or gifts for the upcoming break. Gift cards can be turned in to Ms. Alexis at the front office now through Wednesday, December 10th.

Suggested gift card amount: $5-$25/card

Can't make it to the store or in to Cal Young to bring a gift card, but would like to contribute? Donate online and we'll do the shopping for you!

What: Canned Food Drive 

When: Wednesday December 10 - 17

Prize: Winning class will get to pick the mystery ingredients that will go into a smoothy that Mr. Young drink on the announcements on Thursday December 18. 

The CYMS Lost & Found is overflowing. Students are encouraged to stop by and check for items they may not even realize are missing. We have quite a few hoodies, jackets- including UO jackets, lunch boxes, binders, and water bottles.

Items remaining after 12/19 will be donated during Winter Break.

If your family is planning on starting winter break early at all, please connect with our attendance office in advance. Absences under 3 days long can be called in to 541-790-6454. If your planned absence will be 3 days or more, you're student will need a completed planned absence form completed before the first day of their absence. These forms are available in the front office.

It’s a volunteer who signs up to get a text and/or email when a student in our community has an unmet need. The alert includes a link with all the details.

Next week students new to 4J will receive a Library card to the Eugene Public library. Returning student's cards were automatically renewed.
